Every element of the home’s exterior was reconsidered and rebuilt with precision. Terracotta paving and dark ironwork gave way to a crisp white and soft grey palette, with Hardie cladding, new joinery and travertine paving flowing seamlessly from the entry through to the rear entertaining areas. A highlight of the transformation is the sunroom, where full-height French doors, gridded highlight windows and a window seat framed by garden views create a light-filled space that blurs the line between inside and out. The existing pergola was fully rebuilt as a refined colonnade with detailed square columns and decorative corbelled rafters, drawing the eye along the rear of the home and connecting the entertaining spaces with quiet architectural confidence. The upper level balustrade was redesigned with elegant Chippendale fretwork that became the defining feature of the rear elevation, while new lantern lighting completes a result that feels considered, cohesive and entirely at home in its surroundings.
